About Northern Care Link Services
We started here. We understand this.
Northern Care Link Services was born out of something deeply personal — not a business idea, but a lived experience that so many northern families know well.
Our founder grew up in a northern community in British Columbia, where caring for elders wasn't a service you contracted out. It was something families did together, with love, with presence, and with an understanding that the land, the community, and the people in it were all connected. That foundation has shaped everything about how Northern Care Link Services was built.
A Story That Started at Home
Before Northern Care Link Services existed, our founder worked for an Elders Department in a northern community — supporting Indigenous elders who wanted to stay in their homes, on their land, close to the people and places they had known their whole lives.
That work made one thing clear: the desire to age at home is universal, but the support to make it possible is not. Elders and their families were navigating a fragmented system with too many gaps, too little coordination, and not enough people in their corner. The question that kept coming up was simple: how do we make sure no one falls through the cracks?
That question became the foundation for what Northern Care Link Services is today.

It Was Also Personal
Like many people in northern communities, our founder knows what it means to be both a family member and a care supporter at the same time. Helping her own grandmother age safely at home — navigating appointments, keeping family informed, making sure the right people were involved at the right times — was a role she took on out of love, not obligation.
She also knows what it feels like when the system doesn't quite fit. When the resources designed to help aren't easy to find. When you're doing everything you can but still wondering if it's enough.
That experience, both professional and personal, is the reason Northern Care Link Services exists.
Professional
Rooted in Prince George, Connected to the North
Our founder is now a full-time resident of Prince George, and Northern Care Link Services is proudly based here. Prince George sits at the heart of Northern BC — a hub for the communities, families, and elders we serve across a vast and remarkable region.
We understand the realities of northern life: the distances that separate families, the shortage of services in smaller communities, the strength of local networks, and the deep importance of staying connected to home. These aren't things we've read about. They're things we've lived.
As a founder of First Nation descent with direct experience in Indigenous elder care, we also bring a cultural awareness and respect that shapes how we approach every family we work with. We know that care is not one-size-fits-all. We know that trust is earned slowly and kept carefully. And we know that for many families — First Nations and non-Indigenous alike — what matters most is that someone truly understands their situation before they try to help.
Business
What We Believe
We believe that seniors deserve to age at home, in their communities, with dignity and safety — no matter how remote that home is.
We believe families deserve peace of mind, not more coordination work piled onto already full lives.
We believe that good care starts with good relationships — with listening before acting, and with earning trust before anything else.
And we believe that the North deserves the same quality of care coordination support that urban families take for granted. That's what we're building, one family at a time.
Beyond the ordinary
We Are Not a Big Corporation
We are a small, locally rooted team. We live in Prince George. We know this region. We care about the families we work with, and we take that responsibility seriously.
When you work with Northern Care Link Services, you are not a ticket number or a subscription account. You are a family with a real situation, a real person who needs support, and real stakes. We treat every client that way — because that's how we would want our own grandmothers to be treated.
